Lucidex explores how a university can issue a credential that a learner can share and a verifier can check. Students developed a prototype through the first programme with CICT at Can Tho University, with support from The Improbability Company.
What needs to be learned next
The 1 October programme review proposed user and problem validation before a possible university trial. The next useful evidence is whether issuers and verifiers have a frequent, costly problem and would adopt the workflow. A trial remains proposed.
- Understand current verification steps and the people responsible.
- Test a narrow workflow using synthetic or appropriately consented records.
- Agree the trial scope and success measures before promising deployment.
